"Well, it's a marvelous night for a moondance," as sung by Van Morrison conjures up images of a dark starry night with a full moon. It's under this night sky that I watch the Tamaskan Dogs playing in the moonlight. This is the inspiration for Moondance Tamaskan.
Moondance Tamaskan is a small breeder in western Montana. The dogs are part of the home and family. I fell in love with the Tamaskan Dog and know they will be in my life forever.
As a life long dog lover, I have always had room in my heart and home for dogs. My home is filled with a mix of two rescue dogs, an Alaskan Husky and the Tamaskan Dogs.
I believe that all dogs should have a forever home. For those looking for a dog that inspires the mystery of the mighty wolf, but who want the temperament of a lovable house dog, I encourage you to explore the Tamaskan Dog. Too many wolf-dogs end up in sanctuaries or worse, euthanized when their owners realize they cannot take care of their animal. I hope to be part of the solution. The Tamaskan Dog offers an alternative with a loving heart and gentle temperament.

Moondance Tamaskans will be expanding and also breeding a rare, traditional line of Alaskan Husky called the Hedlund Husky as part of the Hedlund Preservation Group. Teyah and the Tamaskan Out-cross Arrow from Points Unknown are both Hedlund Huskys.
Teyah has been retired from breeding. She was diagnosed with Zinc Responsive Dermatitis. Since this is genetic, we do not want to pass this along to her offspring.
